Uptime: designed by fishers, for fishers

Uptime boasts a great deal of novel technology that makes possible the implementation of ground-breaking features. Cool though new tech can be, we’ve kept our focus on the most important aspect of maritime safety systems: people.

In that spirit, we visited Tanzania this month to speak to fishers in the Zanzibar islands. The exercise was driven by our philosophy of human-centric design, and allowed us to gather user stories to inform the next stage of Uptime’s development.

All the valuable information, including test telemetry takes us one step closer to bringing Uptime to fishing communities across the globe.
